Ramzan, the holy month

Ramzan ( Ramadan) is approaching. The holy month of the first revelation of the Quran to  Prophet Muhammad according to Islamic belief.  The most auspicious month in the Islamic world.

These pictures were taken last year at Ranchi, at Iftar, the symbolic feast at the end of the day, when devout Muslims break bread for the first time. Non Muslims are also part of the Iftar party. Iftar parties are held around the fact, in the capital city of Delhi, these are a means of power and pomp.

May the spirit of brotherhood symbolised by Ramzan, prevail.
